Our Velvets
The transparency as well as the softness of the viscose pile gives our velvets a rare refinement. Bringing back to life an old shuttle loom in wood with perforated design cards, thus preserving an exceptional know-how, our velvet fabrics are constructed by the interlacing of a so-called bottom silk chain and a viscose chain and or metal chain. Two layers are woven at the same time to create the pile effect. and gradually cut by a blade to reveal the pattern, obtaining two velvets. We add to this specifique technique of dyeing and panning to bring out the shinyness of the piles.
